Washington Bus Staff
We are the nutty people who work at the Bus every day, 27 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Katherine Bobman grew up in Tacoma, WA before coming to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. While living life in purple and gold, Katherine earned a Bachelor’s in Political Science and graduated in March 2010. Since then, Katherine has worked at political consulting firm Argo Strategies and perfected a love for both operations management and politics. While living in Seattle, Katherine spends a fair amount of time in Pierce County and is always enjoying the area. katherine [at] washingtonbus [dot] org |

Toby Crittenden wears many hats. No, really. He has a ton of hats. In fact, some people think he has too many. Luckily, none of those people work for the Bus, where Toby is on the outreach team. He helps coordinate the voter registration program, organizes Bus trips, and is the liaison between the Bus and the music world. Having spent a considerable amount of time working on transportation issues in Seattle, Toby is proud that a Bus is the agent of change in Washington. toby [at] washingtonbus [dot] org |

Sarah Cody Roth arrived in Seattle a few years ago via Oregon and Washington, D.C. She returned to the West (best) coast to earn an MPA at the Evans School of Public Affairs, and all paths seemed to lead to the Bus...from her work for University of Washington student government, to stints with King County Councilwoman Julia Patterson, NARAL Pro-choice Washington and Cocker Fennessy public affairs firm, Sarah heard the unmistakable siren call of the Bus and now proudly wears the title of Development Manager. She is a proud West Seattleite, and has an insatiable appetite for skiing, climbing, NW wines, and adventure of all kinds. Her latest campaign is championing the standing desk and she will gladly try to convert anyone within earshot. sarah [at] washingtonbus [dot] org |

Abigail Doerr loves making strawberry rhubarb pies, sewing, knitting, practicing safe bike riding, and crossword puzzles. By observing her hobbies one may assume that she'd be above the age of the average Washingtonian (which is 35 years old). Is she 45? 55? You'd be very wrong. She is the ripe age of 22. Abigail was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. She took a four year hiatus from Washington to study politics, spanish, and crafting at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. This summer she finally returned to the state of Washington to be a Summer Fellow and now responds to the title of Fall Field Staff person. abigail [at] washingtonbus [dot] org |

Thomas Goldstein is most famous for a billboard championing his 1997 campaign for Seattle City Council that lived high above a major thoroughfare five years after his defeat. Thank goodness Thomas brings other attributes to the Bus as the head honcho. He knows a lot of young people, since he founded one of the hippest youth mentoring programs anywhere--the Service Board --in 1995 and ran it until 2006. He's been known to ride his bike, say, around Mount Rainier just for fun. And can be found every Wednesday in the warmer months prowling the fresh produce at the farmers market near his Columbia City home. thomas [at] washingtonbus [dot] org |

Danielle Kim was raised in Washington, where she graduated from Seattle University with a B.A in Political Science, but still finds time to visit her relatives in South Korea every few years. When Danielle isn’t seen cautiously biking around the car-flooded streets of Capitol Hill, she can be found recycling strange objects, or hidden under a pile of books in your local library. She always welcomes a healthy debate of a new Supreme Court case that may change the course of politics. danielle [at] washingtonbus [dot] org |

Alex Miller, now in his third position at the Bus as the resident outreach/communications man-about-town, remains the worst dressed, but the most unfailingly curly-haired member of the Bus staff. His former roles at the Bus include a fall field organizer, and a summer fellow. Alex came to the Bus via Whitman College where he studied politics, film, and began thinking about all the ways they interweave. Thankfully, the Bus is the perfect home for blending politics and culture in innovative ways. He also manages Hella Bus and encourages all of you to follow it with an almost obsessive intensity. alex [at] washingtonbus [dot] org |

Richard Yang was born in Guilin (桂林), China that both former U.S. Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton have visited. With his Seattle University Accounting degree, and his non-profit experience, Richard loves to help The Bus with financials, budgeting, grants tracking, and PDC reporting. He is crazy about ping pong and Badminton and slowly fell in love with tennis. His favorite food is tofu skin. "No place in China is more evocative of the beauty of your country than Guilin." - former U.S. President Bill Clinton. accounting [at] washingtonbus [dot] org |
